In this reaction, 2,3-dihydro-1,4-benzodioxin-2-methanol (C8H10O3) reacts with 4-amino-6,7-dimethoxyquinazoline (C10H9N3O2) to form the intermediate compound (C18H19N3O4).

The final step involves the synthesis of doxazosin by reacting the intermediate compound with piperazine.
